1. 1 Establishment And Constitution.

DOMAN, S.A. was established in Bilbao in 1925 as a Maritime Agency providing customs clearance for sea shipments.

1.2 Evolution

1.940: Establishment of the Irún Branch.
1.975: Establishment of the Madrid Branch.
1.978: Establishment of the Tarragona Branch.
1.988: Establishment of the Granollers Branch.
1.992: At the time Doman had attained a historical pick number of 185 employees, when, as a result of the abolishment of intemal borders and duties among member countries of the EU, the Company was compelled to reconsider its targets and Doman´s main actívity as customs agent, with the haulage concern as a subsidiary venture, receded, on behalf of the transport activity that was to become Doman's main business concern.
For a couple of years the situation was quite troublesome, but in 1994, the staff being reduced to 75 employees, a clear financial situation was reached and from then on a steadily increasing profit is being made.
In 1996 Doman obtained, through AENOR, Registered Firm Certificates of the Quality System, for the standard from the UNE EN ISO 9002, updated in 2002 to meet the new UNE EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
In July 2000 the Logroño (La Rioja) Branch was established.
Early in 2001 a new commercial and operative Branch in the U.K. was also established.
In August 2001 Doman acquired the firm Ferrer Logística S.L. in Vinaroz (Castellón), benefiting therefore of direct access to the Eastern Spanish market.
In the year 2002 the Environmental Management Certificate ISO 14.001, under the UNE EN ISO 14.001: 1.996 Norm, was obtained.
In 2003 DOMAN S.A. rented several APQ Sheds in the East Vallés Area (Barcelona), on long lease terms, and that choice option was received with great appraisal by the market.
By the end of 2003 the global number of staff members in the pay of DOMAN is 129, another 14 are in the pay or FERRER and we have over 400 independent drivers under Domans's Rule. The company is weIl placed in the Market, thorough1y self financed, with an 100% Spanish Capital, and its growth is steady.
For the year 2004 our priority was the evaluation of the quality, security and safety, for both the employees and the environment, in connection with goods haulage services ? hazardous products included ? our Quality, Security and Enviromnental Systems will be tested against the CEFIC Evaluation System SQAS (Safety and Quality Assessment System) for Road Transport.
In February 2004 we established a new Doman Branch in Valencia, we trust it will he1p to consolidate our presence in the Eastem Spanish market, as weIl as provide an easier access to one of the busiest ports in the Mediterranean.
For the present year of 2005, as it already was for 2004, one of our main concems is to spread our warehousing capacity in square meters, so we can store classified products in movable containers under 3 tons.
